One day a group of researchers found an unusual temple hidden in swamps. Local inhabitants told them that a powerful being lives in its depths. They worshipped it and showered it with gifts, receiving blessings in responce. The researchers mocked on them and their superstitions, and began equipping for an expedition. The locals warned them not to do that as they didn't want to face the anger of that being, but their words gone unheard. Later that night the serene silence of the night was broken by shrill screams. Those researchers witnessed something beyond their capabilities of perception what made them go crazy. Only one of them was able to survive and reach the camp. He looked completely out of his mind, repeating only one word - Nyoh.
Since then no one dares to disturb that being in the temple. Various adventurers wandered nearby looking for treasures, but never crossed the doorstep of the temple. That being is called Nyoh since then, but it's nature will not be revealed forever.
